Assessors must be tenured or retired Fire Officers of the rank of Lieutenant or higher (or equivalent) and must have been in that rank for at least two (2) years. We are seeking two (2) diverse panels, by both gender and race, by Fire Officers who fit the above criteria and are available to attend and serve as an assessor.

The Assessment Center activities will be held virtually.  Each assessor will need high-speed internet on a laptop or tablet to view candidate videos and Microsoft Teams to work together to score the candidates.

Hampton Fire will have approximately thirty (30) Lieutenant and fifteen (15) Captain candidates for testing, and two (2) exercises, per rank, to be scored.  Assessors will be compensated for their time in the amount of $25 per candidate, per exercise scored. There will be NO TRAINING.
