Want a Complete Fire Officer Promotional Process? We’ve Got That Too.
If you’re ready for a structured, fair, and budget-conscious promotion system, our Turnkey Fire Officer Promotion Process delivers everything you need — designed specifically for smaller departments and streamlined operations.
What’s Included in the Turnkey Fire Promotion Process:
We review your department’s job descriptions to ensure that the evaluation process is relevant and role-specific.
Each candidate receives a digital orientation manual to help them prepare and understand what to expect.
The same high-quality test mentioned above, designed for real-world officer knowledge.
Four realistic scenarios — including tactical and situational — delivered remotely and recorded for scoring.
Trained assessors (or your own, if preferred) score candidate performance using standardized rubrics — all done remotely.
We combine written and scenario scores, apply appropriate weights, and deliver a rank-ordered list to your department.
Additional Component Options
The following add-ons are available at an additional fee. We offer the Additional Assessment Scenario, Second Review Process and Inclusion of Seniority/Preference Points.
Additional Assessment Scenario
Fire Department may select to use an additional personnel or tactical scenario within their performance-based assessment center.
Second Review Process
The purpose of the Second Review® is to address any significant scoring error. The Second Review® gives the candidate a role in this process by allowing the candidate to review his/her own performance within Assessment exercises along with their raw scores and request a Second Review by the assessors if he/she feels there was significant error in scoring. Assessors review the appeal and make a final decision on the score.
Inclusion of Seniority/Preference Points
The Fire Department may provide Morris & McDaniel with additional seniority and/or preference points to incorporate into the final list scores.
Whether you’re ready to implement the full promotional process or want to start with the fire officer written exam, we’re here to help.
