Houston, TX Fire Captain and Senior Captain Assessment Center
Assessor Requirements:
- Assessors must be active firefighters currently serving in a rank equivalent to the direct supervisor of the rank being tested. They must have at least two (2) years of experience in that supervisory rank.
Note: In some jurisdictions, the tested ranks may be equivalent to Lieutenant and Captain; therefore, supervisory ranks may correspond to Captain and Battalion Chief. - Assessors must not reside in the Houston-Sugarland-Baytown Metropolitan Statistical Area and must not be current or former employees of the City of Houston or the Houston Professional Fire Fighters Association.
- Assessors must not be related—by blood or marriage, within the second degree of consanguinity or affinity—to any candidate for promotion.
- Assessors must be employed by a municipal fire department in the United States that serves a population of 400,000 or more.
We are actively seeking diverse panels, including a broad representation of gender and race, composed of firefighters who meet these qualifications and are available to serve.
