This is a Live Assessment Center being administered and scored for the Boston Police Department to assess the ranks of Lieutenant and Captain. Assessors will be assessing candidates in-person.

Requirements:

  • Shall not reside in the Boston Metropolitan Statistical Area;
  • Shall not be a current or former employee of the City of Boston
  • Shall not be related by blood or marriage, within the second degree of consanguinity or affinity, to any candidate for promotion.
  • Must be rank of Captain (or equivalent) or higher
  • Shall have at least 2 years’ experience in the rank being assessor or equivalent rank
  • Shall serve in a municipal police department in the United States with a minimum population of 200,000 and shall not include Sheriff’s officers.
