Assessor Qualifications:
Assessors must be current, or retired, law enforcement officers of the rank of Sergeant or higher (or equivalent) and must have been in that rank for at least two (2) years.
Additionally, assessors must be current residents of the state of Florida.
Assessors shall not reside in the Melbourne Area, and Assessors shall not be a current or former employee of the City of Melbourne.
Assessors shall not be related by blood or marriage, within the second degree of consanguinity or affinity, to any candidate for promotion.
We are seeking diverse panels, by both gender and race, by officers who fit the above criteria and are available to attend and serve as an assessor.
Logistical Specifics:
The Assessment Center activities will be held in Melbourne, FL. Each assessor will be provided with round-trip transportation (flight or mileage), a private sleeping room, and food per diem.
