Assessor Qualifications:
Assessors must be current, or retired, firefighters of the rank of Captain or higher (or equivalent) AND must have been in that rank for at least two years. Additionally, assessors must not reside in the Toledo Metropolitan Area, be a current or former employee of the City of Toledo and shall not be related by blood or marriage to any candidate for promotion in Toledo. Finally, assessors should never have had, and do not currently have, any personal or professional working relationship with any candidate eligible for promotion in the Toledo, OH Fire Captain process. We are seeking twelve (12) assessors for four (4) diverse panels, by both gender and race, who fit the above criteria and are available to attend and serve as an assessor.

Logistical Specifics:
The Assessment Center activities will be held virtually. Each assessor will need high speed internet on a laptop or tablet to download candidate videos and Microsoft Teams to work together to score the candidates. Toledo Fire will have twenty-two (22) candidates, and four (4) exercises to be scored. Assessors will be compensated for their time in the amount of $150 for training and $25 per candidate, per exercise scored.
